My paintings extend an investigation of place. Every element traces back to a physical location: plots of land, harvest patterns, the high school track, the church ball field. Though they may appear abstract, these works are rooted in realism. Their shapes derive from actual forms—often viewed from above via satellite imagery—reflecting the geometries we use to organize our world. I’m not abstracting the built environment, I’m revealing the patterns already present in it.
